Sonoma, Cal. (May 5, 2008) – Scott Tucker's westward trek proved to a memorable one as he bested a 31-car field not once, but twice over the weekend at the Infineon Raceway F430 Ferrari Challenge presented by Trofeo Pirelli.
Tucker's No. 55 Level 5 Motorsports Boardwalk Ferrari out-distanced the competition at the famed 2.47 mile-Northern California road course. The all-around great performance was capped off with a dominating win on Sunday, the second of his two to F430 Ferrari Challenge wins. Tucker bested Mark McKenzie, of Austin, Texas, by an astonishing 9.685 seconds following 26 laps of skillful driving where the No. 55 machine led all 26 laps and established a new track race lap record for F430s with a time of 01:46.140.
Tucker's first win came on Saturday and was much closer as he edged out current season points leader, John Horejsi of Beverly Hills, Cal. by 1.460 seconds after 23 laps of which Tucker led 20 laps.
The team was ready for the weekend and prepared for a dominant performance as Tucker was consistently in Top 5 in five of his six practice sessions.
The weekend was special according to Tucker. "The team really came together this weekend. I can't say enough about how the guys worked to provide me with the best possible car a driver could ask for. Two weeks ago in Atlanta, we nearly had a season-ending crash. I'm just happy to have given them two wins here for all the time they put in behind the scenes and late at night not only this weekend but especially over the past few weeks. I have an amazing team and I'm fortunate to be able to work with them."
Team Manager David Stone was equally impressed with the weekend. "Scott had no-mistake driving and was consistent with his lap times from the outset with practice to the final lap on Sunday. That's what a great driver does for his team."

The results come as no surprise to Tucker's Driving Coach Ed Zabinski, "Scott and I have been working on expanding his driving "chops" and working on his understanding of the skill set we call "racecraft". These are the things that a driver needs to do during the race to deliver a winning performance and he did all of that to perfection over the weekend."
Next up for the No. 55 Level 5 Motorsports team is another westward trek, this time to Monterey, California. The team will compete at Laguna Seca in the Rolex Grand-Am Series Rum Bum 250, May 16-17.
