TUCKER LOOKS TO DEFEND HOME TURF THIS WEEKEND AT ROAD AMERICA

On home ground for the first time this season, Scott Tucker and his No. 55 Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life F430 will fire up the Road America track Saturday, June 26, when the Ferrari Challenge Series revvs up in Elkhart Lake, Wis., after an eight-week break.

"This weekend is important for our team," Tucker said. "The Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life headquarters are nearby in Madison, and I'd like to reward this hardworking team with another strong effort here on our home track. When the checkered flag drops, we hope to be the first ones across the finish line."

The top of the leader board is a familiar position for Tucker and his team. After sweeping Ferrari Challenge Series' first four races, Tucker took second and third in races five and six. He and his Supercar Life Racing teammate Christophe Bouchut maintained that momentum during the Series' break, posting Top 10 finishes in four races of this season's Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. Most recently, the team secured ninth position at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the EMCO Gears Classic. It was an exciting follow up to their commanding performance during the 28th running of the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International on June 6, when the team led their first race of the 2009 Rolex season for a full five laps.

Tucker is confident that the No. 55 Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life F430 will turn in another superior performance during the Ferrari Challenge Series' races seven and eight at Road America's legendary 4.048-mile circuit.

Situated on 640 acres of rolling, Midwestern terrain, Road America is one of only a handful of road circuits in the world that has maintained its original configuration; the track hasn't changed since its construction in 1955 and for good reason: Its 14 turns, long front stretch and multiple elevation changes sets up Series drivers for a challenging battle in the next race towards the championship.

Ferrari of Houston's Mark McKenzie sits atop the Series' leader board with 980 points; Zak Brown (840) is in second. With 800 points, Tucker and his No. 55 are right on Brown's heels. The Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life team is well-poised to regain the lead it held in the standings for the first six races.

"Our goal is to take the 2009 Series champion title," Team Manager David Stone said. "I think the decisions we have made and all the team's hard work so far this season are evident in this team's excellent results; the car is in good shape to take control of the field again this weekend."

Tucker and the No. 55 car will look to take the lead during Saturday's qualifying session at 10:40 a.m. CST, followed by race one at 2:25 p.m. CST.

Also taking the track at Road America will be a parade of historic Ferraris and Maseratis from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. In addition, a series of pre-war cars from Scuderia Ferrari will provide an exciting end to the weekend.

But Supercar Life Racing will continue the Road America excitement beyond the Ferrari Challenge Series. Tucker and his Ferrari team will mount a campaign September 24-27, as they defend their title during the 2009 Sports Car Club of America National Championship Runoffs at Road America. Last year, the team capped off their racing season by piloting identical Ferraris to two podium finishes and a National Championship in the Runoffs at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan. Teammate Ed Zabinski became the first driver ever to win an SCCA National Championship in any class while driving a Ferrari, making national headlines; Tucker followed close behind in third position on the podium.
