TUCKER COMPETES IN SCCA’S PRO RACING SPEED WORLD CHALLENGE GT FINALE AS PART OF THE AMERICAN LEMANS

Overland Park, Kan. (October 3, 2008) – The 2.54 mile road course of Road Atlanta saw one of its biggest weekend's yet as Porsche racers continued to battle for the championship in its last rounds of the IMSA Challenge in SCCA's Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Finale presented by Foametix, as part of the Petit Le Mans presented by the Totally-New Mazda 6, October 1-3.

Ferrari Challenge and Grand-Am Rolex Series driver, Scott Tucker took some extra time behind the wheel in No. 55 Kelly-Moss Motorsports' Porsche 911 GT3. Current point leader and favorite to take the SPEED GT Championship crown this weekend, Randy Pobst took his No. 1 K-PAX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 fifth to the starting grid.

As the race got underway, the No. 10 car of Brandon Davis took the lead in Turn 1 pushing Andy Pilgrim's No. 8 car, back to second place. Tucker stayed consistent in 19th position for the first few laps, but then was pushed back into the pack going into Lap 4. On Lap 6, the first caution was thrown out as the No. 16 car of Michael McCann was pushed into the gravel. Shortly thereafter the second caution came out, following this restart; Tucker moved forward a few positions while staying respectful towards the rest of the pack so as not to defer the battle to the finish line.

With 10 laps remaining, the pace slowed down as pack leader's lapped traffic. With the race's completion in sight, the No. 21 and No. 8 of Tommy Milner and Pilgrim continued to battle it out amongst the Top 3; but as the checkered flag waived above, it was Brandon Davis who crossed the line first, taking his second SPEED GT win of the year.

Tucker's last performance in the Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 was at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec in the IMSA Challenge Porsche GT3 SuperCup. "It was great getting back in the Porsche for SPEED World Challenge GT Finale, "Tucker stated. "This was a very technical track that gave me some extra driving time amongst an elite group of successful and prestigious Porsche drivers."

Finishing on the podium were the No. 10 Brandon Davis, No. 21 Tommy Milner and No. 8 Andy Pilgrim.

Today's race will be broadcast October 15th at 1 p.m. (EDT) on SPEED.
