SUPERCAR LIFE RACING READY TO MAKE THEIR MARK AT SAHLEN'S SIX HOURS OF THE GLEN

The 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series shifts into high gear June 6, as teams converge at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, N.Y., for the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen race. The race will be the second-longest endurance race of the season and will be enhanced by the NASCAR Camping World Series event that takes place prior to Saturday's Rolex race.

The Supercar Life Racing team has had remarkable success at the tracks of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series this season. The team raced to a Top 10 finish in the last minutes of the grueling historic Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona race in January. After a two-month break, Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut, the team's dynamic duo were on track at Virginia International Raceway for April's Bosch Engineering 250. There, the No. 55 Supercar Life BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype crossed the finish line in fourth position, earning the team a Hard Charger Award after gaining 12 positions overall-more than any other team in the event. One month later, the team conquered Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's legendary course in an action-packed race that ended in yet another Top 10 finish for Supercar Life Racing.

And the Supercar Life team looks for success in Saturday's upcoming endurance race, coming off last weekend's excitement in the Porsche Club of America's "Clash at the Glen." Tucker and Bouchut piloted a pair of Porsche 997 Supercup cars for the KMR Porsche Supercup Championship team, winning both the 45-minute sprint races and a 90-minute endurance race on Sunday in the GT4 997 class.

"For sure, we've had some incredible weeks of racing," Tucker said. "After last weekend's endurance and sprint races, we are definitely in a good rhythm right now. Christophe and I are feeling good, and the car and team are hitting their stride. Although this run at Watkins Glen will be much longer, our success will very much depend on our team's durability, quality and speed-the Clash at the Glen was a great way to prepare for that."

One of America's finest racing facilities, Watkins Glen International has been home to nearly every class of road racing in its 60-year history; the list of legendary drivers who have dominated the famed track's twists and turns is second to none. The circuit's long straightaways give drivers more frequent opportunities to pass; turn one and the chicane on the back stretch, known as the "bus stop," are two of the Glen's best and most challenging features.

"Even with the extra room to pass, track position is critical here as at any road course," Team Manager David Stone said. "It will be very important that Scott, Christophe and all of us are strategic in our race for the checkered flag; every minute counts-even in a six-hour race."

"The team has the car running extremely well this season," Tucker said. "The only thing we need now to bring everything together is our first Rolex win."

The No. 55 Supercar Life DP has turned in solid performances throughout this season. During the last race at Laguna Seca, the machine was consistently one of the fastest cars on track, running the fourth-fastest average green-lap time (1:21.241) under the capable hands of Bouchut, further solidifying the No. 55's reputation as one of the Series' cars to beat.

"We have been head-to-head with the leaders this season," Bouchut said. "If we qualify well and are at the front of the pack, we have a good shot. No matter what track we race on, we will continue as a strong contender."

Heading east for round five of the Series, Tucker, Bouchut and the entire Supercar Life Racing team will look to leave their own mark at Watkins Glen. For live national coverage of the race, tune into SPEED TV Saturday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. EST. The team will also participate in a full-day Rolex DP and GT test session on Sunday, June 7.
