TUCKER AIMS FOR PODIUM AT MT. TREMBLANT

Hitting the track hard in contention for the 2009 Ferrari Challenge Series championship title, Scott Tucker and his Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life Racing team have exhibited commanding performances over the last four months of the 2009 season. Next week, the team will prepare for another podium attempt in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, July 24 through 26.

Tucker and the No. 55 Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life F430 Challenge car opened the season by posting perfect results over four days at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Topping the time sheets in each of the six practice sessions, Tucker secured pole position for race one and, after leading every lap, twice took the checkered flag-a sweep for the Series' first doubleheader weekend.

Tucker and his team repeated this stellar performance two weeks later at Road Atlanta's 2.54-mile circuit in Braselton, Ga. Driving the No. 55, Tucker dominated the track both days, posting a fastest lap time and setting a new track record for the fastest race lap of 01:29.352; the No. 55 led every lap of the race and earned the team its fourth win in four races.

Despite adverse weather conditions at Sonoma, California's Infineon Raceway, Tucker delivered two impressive performances the first weekend in May, overcoming dead-last starts to finish in second and third in races five and six. Then, just last month at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.-home turf for the Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life team-the No. 55 machine surged to the front once again, taking first and second place in races seven and eight.

Tucker currently sits in third in the Series standings with 1175 points. Eager to close the gap with first-place Mark McKenzie (1320 points), Tucker and his team only have one goal for the upcoming race at Circuit Mont-Tremblant: to claim as many points as possible.

"This team has done an incredible job this season," Tucker said. "In order to reach our goal and come out on top in the points race, we need to keep doing what we've been doing all along-be consistent and aggressive in achieving a series of solid finishes."

Located in the shadow of the majestic Mt. Tremblant, the circuit is one of Quebec's top attractions. The 2.65-mile, paved layout offers drivers a classic run, combining elevation changes inherent to the site's natural topography with 15 tricky turns. The rocky hillsides situated around the track will provide Ferrari Challenge Series fans natural grandstands with magnificent, elevated views during the race weekend. While cheering on their favorite drivers, fans and Ferrari enthusiasts will also be able to participate in La Festival Ferrari. The seventh annual tradition celebrates Ferrari's rich heritage in motor racing; displays and memorabilia exhibitions will stretch across a wide swath of the dedicated park area. Spectators are also invited into the paddock area to view the cars up close and to meet the drivers.

While the Boardwalk Ferrari Supercar Life team and crew looks forward to meeting their fans, they're keeping their eyes on the prize: "The No. 55 F430 Challenge car has proven itself a leader all season long, "Team Manager David Stone said. "As a driver, Scott knows what it takes to win in a series like this, and he's done a fine job in getting there time after time this season. Mont-Tremblant is a beautiful circuit and will provide a great show for races nine and ten of the season. We're looking to make that show just a little more exciting for everyone."
